While the Paris Motor Show often captures all the attention, the Lyon Auto Show has established itself as France’s other major automotive event. Held every two years alternating with Paris, it returns from September 24-28, 2025 at the Eurexpo halls, with the ambition to attract a large and passionate audience.
This year, no fewer than 57 manufacturers have confirmed their attendance, with around fifty new models on display. French stars like the Renault R5 E-Tech, the Peugeot e-208 GTI, and the new Alpine A390 will stand alongside international mainstream brands (Volkswagen, Nissan) and German premium marques (BMW, Mercedes, Audi).
But the 2025 Lyon Show isn’t limited to mass-market novelties. Performance and luxury enthusiasts can discover the Ferrari Amalfi in its world premiere, alongside Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren, and Porsche, gathered in an unprecedented prestige hall. An edition that promises to combine innovation, spectacle, and emotion, with the bonus of more than 400 cars available for test drives by the public.

An Essential French Automotive Event
Every two years, the Lyon Auto Show establishes itself as the other major highlight of the French automotive calendar. In 2025, the event will be held from September 24-28 at the Eurexpo Lyon halls. The edition promises to be particularly rich: 57 manufacturers have confirmed their presence, with nearly 50 new models to discover as previews.
For the organizers, the objective is clear: offer a show where both accessible models and the most exclusive cars coexist. As a bonus, a 2025 novelty: opening from Wednesday, complete with family-friendly and educational activities.
French Manufacturers in Force
On home turf, French brands have gone big. Renault will highlight its refreshed Austral and Espace, but also the highly anticipated R4 and R5 E-Tech, flagship models of the group’s electric strategy. Alpine will come with its new A390 electric SUV, while Dacia will present its entire lineup.
At Stellantis, Peugeot will display the refreshed 308 and the new e-208 GTI, which promises to be one of the show’s stars. Citroën will present its redesigned C5 Aircross, and DS will take advantage of the event to showcase its DS No. 4 and No. 8.

International Mainstream and Premium Brands
The Lyon show also aims to be international. Volkswagen will be present with its new T-Roc and a still-camouflaged prototype of the ID. Polo, the future electric compact. Nissan will unveil its new Micra, developed on the technical basis of the Renault R5 E-Tech, and the next generation Leaf.
On the premium side, BMW will highlight its new iX3, the first model based on the Neue Klasse platform. Mercedes will come with its new CLA, while Audi will present the third generation of its Q3, just recently announced.
Supercars, Hypercars and World Exclusives
The Lyon Show isn’t just for families seeking an electric compact. Dream car enthusiasts will have an entire hall dedicated to prestige and hypercars. Ferrari will create the event with the world premiere of the Amalfi, a novelty that should magnetize all eyes.
Alongside it, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren, Maserati, Porsche, Lotus and Bentley will display their flagship models. A Hypercars zone will showcase twelve exceptional models, presented in a scenographed space to enhance design and performance.

Public Experiences: Test Drives and Themed Universes
The Lyon Auto Show 2025 also focuses on visitor experience. No fewer than 400 vehicles will be available for test drives, allowing visitors to directly compare models. New this year: commercial vehicles join the program, alongside passenger cars.
The show will be structured into 7 universes: new vehicles, used vehicles, eco-mobility, motorsports, services and accessories, plus two new spaces dedicated to Van Life and commercial vehicles. A way to cater to diverse audiences, from families seeking leisure activities to professionals.
