A Bentley V8 Pushed to 900 HP by Brabus: This New Autobahn Terror Was Born to Rule German Highways

Date:

What if absolute luxury could also show its brutal side? With the Brabus 900 Superblack, the answer is crystal clear. The famous German tuner, known for its supercharged Mercedes models, now takes on the elegant Bentley Continental GT Speed to create an ultra-exclusive 900 HP GT, crafted equally for upscale salons and high-speed straightaways.

Far from a simple styling exercise, this transformation touches every essential component of the British GT. The twin-turbo V8 is completely reworked to reach performance peaks, while the exterior and interior presentation is reconfigured in an all-black style that’s aggressive and sophisticated. A radical approach to luxury, pushed to its technical and aesthetic limits.

But behind the mechanical brutality lies artisanal craftsmanship, extreme refinement, and assumed rarity. Because this Brabus 900 won’t be for everyone. Neither in terms of power nor price. Here’s everything you need to know about this Bentley like no other, elevated to the status of an excessive icon by the wizards from Bottrop.

An Ultra-Luxurious Base for Extreme Tuning

The starting point for this extraordinary creation is none other than the Bentley Continental GT Speed, an already impressive grand touring coupe. With its imposing stance, impeccable build quality, and supercharged V8 or W12, the British GT has established itself as a benchmark for dynamic luxury. But that apparently wasn’t enough for Brabus.

Traditionally focused on Mercedes-AMG models, the German tuner is increasingly opening up to other prestige brands. And the Bentley Continental GT Speed offered an ideal base to unleash its excessive ambitions. Royal comfort, absolute refinement, already solid performance…, everything was in place to create an uncompromising grand touring machine.

By choosing the GT Speed, Brabus tackles not only a prestigious model, but above all a symbol of British luxury. The result: a totally unprecedented interpretation, between assumed mechanical sport and ultra-high-end customization.

900 Horsepower Under the Hood: Radical Engine Preparation

Under the hood, Brabus doesn’t settle for simple electronic remapping. The original Bentley 4.0 twin-turbo V8 undergoes complete preparation: modified turbos, new intercoolers, stainless steel exhaust system, revised mapping… Result: 900 HP and 811 lb-ft of torque. An insane figure, worthy of the most powerful supercars of the moment.

This engine dubbed the Brabus Rocket 900 transforms the GT into a surface-to-surface missile. The tuner has ensured the block’s reliability is maintained while pushing its mechanical limits. The torque is actually voluntarily limited to 811 lb-ft (instead of the possible 922 lb-ft) to preserve the transmission and guarantee consistent and usable acceleration.

The mechanical base remains Bentley, but the entire engine environment is optimized. This meticulous work allows the Brabus 900 to deliver lightning-fast acceleration, reworked sound, and the ability to chain together high-speed miles without faltering.

Supercar Performance in a Luxury Setting

With such horsepower, the numbers live up to the pedigree. The Brabus 900 Superblack demolishes the 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds, nearly a full second faster than the stock Continental GT Speed. Top speed reaches 209 mph on the coupe version, while the convertible is limited to 177 mph for aerodynamic reasons.

Despite its 4,850 pounds, the car impresses with its ability to accelerate and maintain very high speeds with disconcerting ease. The all-wheel drive system, 8-speed automatic transmission, and revised electronic management guarantee exemplary traction, even with this explosion of torque.

But where this GT truly distinguishes itself is in its ability to remain comfortable despite its brutality. The damping is adaptive, noise well-filtered in normal mode, and the equipment level remains that of a Bentley. A supercar? Yes. But a salon supercar, where you can still travel in style at over 200 mph.

Bold Brabus Styling Without Abandoning Bentley Elegance

Aesthetically, Brabus pushes the envelope without crossing into flashiness. The body kit entirely in exposed carbon fiber consists of skirts, diffusers, air intakes, and aerodynamic elements designed in the wind tunnel. All painted in a deep black called “Superblack”, the signature of the tuner’s most exclusive models.

The silhouette gains aggression without losing the Continental GT’s natural elegance. The 22-inch Brabus Monoblock Z Platinum Edition wheels complete the look, accompanied by a 20mm suspension drop that visually anchors the car to the ground.

Inside, Brabus performs upholstery work worthy of automotive haute couture. Custom leather upholstery, carbon fiber inserts, contrasting stitching, Brabus logo engraved on the headrests… The atmosphere is as spectacular as it is luxurious. Each example can be personalized on demand, making every vehicle a unique piece.

Unaffordable Rarity: Price and Exclusivity

As always with Brabus, rarity is part of the positioning. The Brabus 900 isn’t mass-produced: each example is individually ordered, prepared according to the client’s wishes, and delivered in strictly personalized configuration. All with a level of artisanal finish that’s hard to match.

The price? According to available data, the base price exceeds $537,900 for the coupe and $592,700 for the convertible, without specific options. Suffice to say the Brabus 900 is positioned above the top-tier Continental GT Mulliner W12, and rubs shoulders with hypercars like the Ferrari SF90 or McLaren 750S.

But the target clientele isn’t there to compare spec sheets. They’re looking for a car that matches their image, exclusive, demonstrative, personalized down to the smallest detail, and capable of combining insane performance with princely comfort. And in this category, the Brabus 900 Superblack is simply unique.
